Hair – life’s unofficial documentary

Hair.  I let my hair grow just to cut it short.  I cut bangs, to spend the next 8 months growing them out. I add blond highlights to dye the whole thing red.  What is the deal?  For all you reading this, you know what I’m talking about.  Lamenting over the humidity or the lack there of, to put it up or let it down, to wear a hat or not to wear a hat.  I’ve done the big hair of the 80’s (I beg of you, if that style comes back, don’t let me embrace it.  It was not pretty the first time around), the Jennifer Anniston hair, the poker-straight hair, the blond, the brunette and now the reddish. (For the record, I never did the Posh hair – I just don’t take myself that seriously)  With every picture donning a different hairstyle, I can tell you who I was dating, what I was wearing, where I was living, and the drama of that time.  I guess hair is like life’s unofficial documentary, keeing track of who you are along the way.

  1. You’re lucky – my hair is thinning every day. I guess the title of my documentary is: “Hair today, gone tomorrow”. I thought of “Gone With The Wind”, but that one’s taken.

Hairless in Seattle. Gone with the Wind. Hair today, gone tomorrow. All very clever. I love your thinning hair. Think of all the hair decisions you don’t have to fret over. Besides, Bald is new Good Hair.
