I just finished Marcelo in the Real World by Francisco Stork and I can say with conviction that it is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Truly. As a reader, I felt compassion, conviction, sorrow, anger and joy. My emotions rose and fell with Marcelo. As a writer, I was inspired…and hopeful. The story is well-woven, character strong and yet, still driven by intricate and unique plot twists. Pick up this book, it is a treasure to read.
