The privilege of getting my book published has done so much more than I could ever have imagined. When I got my YES, I knew it would allow Molly’s story to go beyond my computer, onto the shelf of a bookstore and library, and into the hands of readers. But what I didn’t know, was that the privilege of publication would also connect me with an amazing community of educators. I met Patrick Andrus, one of those incredible educators, on Twitter. He reached out to read an arc of Finding Perfect. I happily and nervously, sent it along. We stayed in touch via tweets and messages and I soon found my story the subject of a very gracious review. He loved Finding Perfect and for that, I am eternally grateful. But, Patrick went a step further. Molly had stayed with him and he had questions. He wanted to learn more about the story behind the story. Below is the interview that answered his questions.
